Prefab1 was engaged to design and construct modular station buildings along the Frankston Line for SPA, following a competitive tender in which Prefab1 was awarded the project.

The scope included three purpose-built structures featuring staff amenities, a Myki equipment room, a cleaners’ room, and a secure storeroom. Each building was finished with GRC external cladding, air-freighted specifically for this project. This marked the first time GRC had been applied to modular construction in Victoria’s rail network, setting a new benchmark in durability and architectural quality.
